What We Believe
WHAT WE BELIEVE
I.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God (I Timothy 3:13-17)
II.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:32)
III.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations. (Luke 1:31-35, Hebrews 7:26, Acts 10:38, I Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:34, I Thessalonians 4:16-17, Isaiah 11:1-11, Psalm 72:1-8)
IV.
We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (Romans 10:13-15, Hebrews 9:22)
V.
We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. (John 3:3, Ephesians 2:8)
VI.
We believe in divine healing as provided by the redemptive work of Christ. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Mathew 8:16-17, James 5:14-16)
VII.
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it (Act 1:8, Acts 2:1-4)
VIII.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Romans 8:9-11, Romans 8:14)
IX.
We believe the apostolic gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit are available to the church today. (I Corinthians 12, I Corinthians 14)
X.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Daniel 12:2, Revelation 10:11-15, Mathew 25:31-34)
XI.
We believe in the rapture of the church and the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:10-11, Revelation 1:7)
XII.
We believe that the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local expression of a body of believers who are under recognized, delegated authorities, and who assemble to worship, carry forth the Great Commission, and minister as the Holy Spirit leads. (Ephesians 1:22-23, ICorinthians 1:2, I Corinthians 1:1)
